The World Mental Health 2025 event by Befrienders Penang
Befrienders Penang outreach event at Straits Quay, organized by Klinik Kesihatan Tanjung Bungah
One in three Malaysians faces mental health problems, one in four students shows symptoms of depression while one in five experiences anxiety, 7% of students have attempted suicide, about two million Malaysians are currently affected by depression and anxiety, 85% of those who attempted suicide had never sought professional treatment, nearly 300,000 senior citizens are affected by depression, 60% of Malaysians feel pressure and stress, 19% of employees suffer from work-related mental health issues.
